  18. <p>     The photographs had all the charm of police mug shots,
  19. except that Chuck Berry and his female companions were snapped
  20. in the nude, full front. When eight pictures of a merry Berry
  21. showed up in a skin magazine for all to see, the rock legend
  22. reacted, said his lawyer, like "someone whose innermost, private
  23. possessions had been shown to the world. He was shaken." Berry,
  24. 63, is suing the mag because, he claims, the photos were used
  25. without his permission. They were stolen from his office last
  26. September, he says, by former friends. And why had Berry gone
  27. starkers for the camera in the first place? To prove, he said,
  28. there was no coercion involved in his trysts.
